DVS-Activated Magnetic Beads are an extraordinary set of uniform beads, pre-loaded with high-density DVS functional groups that are spread out evenly over their surface. These beads possess the unique ability to covalently link ligands that carry primary amino, sulfhydryl, or hydroxyl groups, thereby allowing them to be used for a wide range of applications. The hydrophilic surface of these beads ensures that there is a low level of nonspecific adsorption, and they are quite easy to handle in a variety of different buffers. In particular, BcMag™ DVS-activated magnetic beads are especially useful when it comes to immobilizing sugars and carbohydrates through their hydroxyl groups. Moreover, thanks to their long-arm hydrophilic linker, these beads are ideal for use as an affinity matrix for immobilizing large molecules or small peptides, as the linker effectively reduces steric hindrance.

Workflow

BcMag™ DVS-activated magnetic beads work perfectly as affinity resin for a wide variety of affinity purification to refine molecules, cells, and parts of cells into purified fractions. After conjugation with ligands, add the beads to a sample containing the target molecules, then mix, incubate, wash and elute the target molecules.
