Eimeria maxima is a species of protozoan parasites that belongs to the family Eimeriidae. It is an obligate parasite of the domestic chicken and is the largest species of coccidial parasites found in chickens. E. maxima is responsible for causing a severe form of coccidiosis in chickens, which is characterized by severe diarrhea, anemia, and mortality. Eimeria maxima antigen is a protein antigen found on the surface of the parasite. This antigen is important for inducing protective immunity against E. maxima infection in chickens. Vaccines based on this antigen have been developed and are used to prevent coccidiosis in chickens.

Immunoglobulin Heavy Chain Binding Protein: This is a protein that binds to antibodies (also known as immunoglobulins) in the immune system. It is produced by Eimeria Maxima and is thought to help the parasite evade the host’s immune system.

Major Antigen Homologous Sequence: This refers to a sequence of amino acids (the building blocks of proteins) that is similar between two different proteins. In this case, it refers to a sequence that is found in both the Eimeria Maxima protein and a protein produced by the host’s immune system. This similarity can cause problems for the host’s immune system, as it may mistake the parasite protein for a self-protein and not mount an effective immune response.

82 kDa/56 kDa Gametocyte Antigens: Gametocytes are the sexual stage of the Eimeria Maxima parasite, and antigens are proteins that can trigger an immune response. These two proteins are found on the surface of gametocytes and are important targets for the host’s immune system.

The use of recombinant proteins/cDNA in academic research and therapeutic applications has skyrocketed. However, in heterologous expression systems, successful recombinant protein expression is dependent on a variety of factors, including codon preference, RNA secondary structure, and GC content. When compared to pre-optimization, more and more experimental results demonstrated that the expression level was dramatically increased, ranging from two to hundred times depending on the gene. Bioclone has created a proprietary technology platform that has resulted in the creation of over 6,000 artificially synthesized codon-optimized cDNA clones (cloned in E. coli expression Vector), which are ready for production of the recombinant proteins.
